Sandy earned a Bachelors Degree from Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska and was a professional educator for eight years in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and Warrenton, Oregon. Sandy is originally from Santa Barbara, California and she and her husband Doug, who teaches at Warrenton High School have two children, Jennie and John. Jennie is a civil engineer and she and her husband Mike, live in Raleigh,NC. John is the principal at Santa Barbara High School and lives in Santa Barbara, CA with his wife, Susan. Sandy has two grandchildren on each coast and enjoys taking trips to spend time with them a few times a year.
